Theodora (Thea) Maradjieva Jamison, CFA

Thea Jamison is the founder and Managing Director of CHANGE Global Investment.  Thea started her investment career in emerging and frontier markets in 1997. She has researched investment opportunities in over 90 countries and invested directly on 60 local stock exchanges. Over her career, Thea has built out new firms focused on the emerging and frontier markets, as well as new emerging market strategies within established firms. As a native of Bulgaria, Thea also carries firsthand experience of living in an emerging country for nearly twenty years.  Previously, Thea served as Partner and Portfolio Manager at Frontier Market Asset Management, where she rolled out the firm’s global frontier focused funds. Thea’s prior investment experience includes the build out of the emerging market strategies at Nicholas Applegate Capital Management and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Thea earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University and her Bachelor of Science in International Business, summa cum laude, from Menlo College. Thea is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Society of Portland. She resides with her husband and three children in the Portland, Oregon area.


Brian K. Mugabe

Brian Mugabe is a Senior Analyst at CHANGE Global Investment.  Brian is responsible for company and industry research in the region of Africa and the Middle East.  Brian has twenty-five years of industry experience, with a focus on fundamental research and investment analysis.  Prior to joining CHANGE Global Investment, Brian held positions as Head of Africa Research at Momentum (Imara S.P. Reid), Securities Africa, and Imara Edwards.  He earned his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Rhodes University, Grahamstown.  Brian has a Certificate in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management from the University of South Africa.  Brian is originally from Zimbabwe and resides with his wife and two sons in Johannesburg, South Africa.    


Ken W. Liu, CFA

Ken Liu is a Senior Analyst at CHANGE Global Investment. Ken is responsible for company and industry research in the region of Asia. Ken has twenty years of industry experience, with a focus on fundamental research and investment analysis. Prior to joining the firm, he held Equity Analyst positions at KGI Asia, Yuanta Securities, and Pacific Star Partners. Ken was a Silicon Valley engineer before entering the financial services industry. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from University of California, Davis and his Bachelor Degree in Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, from the University of Alabama. Ken is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the China Asset Management Association. Ken was born in Taiwan and has been residing in Shanghai, China for the past eighteen years. He is in the process of relocating back to the United States with his wife and two daughters.


RENATA ABDURAKHMANOVA SAND, CFA

Renata Abdurakhmanova is a Senior Analyst at CHANGE Global Investment.  Renata is responsible for company and industry research in the region of Central and Eastern Europe.  Renata has fifteen years of industry experience, focusing on fundamental research and investment analysis. Previously, Renata worked as a Research Associate at Frontier Market Asset Management and as a Credit Analyst at Kazkommertsbank in Kazakhstan.  She has worked side by side with Thea for over ten years.  Renata earned her Master of Business Administration degree from California State University, Long Beach and her Bachelor Degree in International Law from Eurasian National University.  Renata is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Society Spain.  Renata was born and raised in Kazakhstan.  She resides with her husband and two children in Europe, splitting time between Kazakhstan and Spain.  


Khanh Anastasiou Vu

Khanh Anastasiou Vu is an Investment Analyst at CHANGE Global Investment. Khanh is responsible for company and industry research in the region of Asia. She has eight years of investment experience, including four years under mentorship at CHANGE Global Investment. Prior to joining the firm, Khahn held positions as Portfolio Analyst and Quantitative Analyst at Aspen Capital, a specialty real estate investment company. Khanh earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Concordia University, her Master of Science in Financial Analysis from Portland State University, and her Bachelor Degree in Economics from Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Vietnam. Khanh was born and raised in Vietnam. She resides with her husband and dog, and splits time between her residence in the Portland, Oregon area and her home in Saigon, Vietnam.

 


yitawes (wes) Tadesse

Wes Tadesse is a Research Analyst at CHANGE Global Investment. He is responsible for global emerging and frontier market research and coordination. In addition, Wes assists with company and industry research in the region of Latin America. Wes has five years of industry experience, with a focus on fundamental research. Prior to joining the company, he worked at State Street as an Investor Services Associate. In his role, Wes was responsible for the local market outreach on behalf of State Street. He led the bank’s efforts in setting up over fifty frontier markets for local trading and custody for the CHANGE Global Frontier Markets, LP. Prior to his assignment at State Street, Wes worked at BNY Mellon in a similar investor services role.  Wes earned his Bachelor Degree in Science in Business Administration and Major in Finance from Suffolk University.  He was born and raised in Ethiopia.  He resides in the Portland, Oregon area.   


Bradley (brad) power 

Brad Power is a Research Analyst at CHANGE Global Investment. Brad has five years of relevant industry experience as a research analyst. He is responsible for the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) research at the firm. Brad joined the firm as an intern and built his way to an analyst position. He is an active member in the local community and a member of the Friends of Trees non-for-profit organization.  Brad earned his Bachelor Degree in Finance from Portland State University.  He resides in the Portland, Oregon area.


Nicole Kelleher

Nicole Kelleher is the Chief Operating and Compliance Officer at CHANGE Global Investment.  Nicole oversees the general administration and day to day operational aspects of the company.  Nicole has twenty-five years of industry experience in investment operations.  Prior to joining CHANGE Global Investment, Nicole spent ten years as a senior manager at State Street where she served as Assistant Vice President of the Alternative Investment Solutions unit, with responsibilities for fund accounting, new products, and overseas expansion.  Prior to State Street, Nicole was an Associate Director, managing the institutional equity, fixed income, and alternative investment operations teams at Babson Capital Management for seven years.  Nicole attended the School of Arts and Science, while majoring in Economics and minoring in Finance at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  She resides with her husband and two daughters in the Portland, Oregon area.


KRISTIN (KRIS) TRAVIS

Kris Travis is the Investor Relations Analyst at CHANGE Global Investment.  Kris is responsible for handling investor relations.  As such, she works side by side with the business team in investor outreach and client servicing.  Kris has ten years of industry experience.  Previously, Kris held the position of a Financial Analyst and a Contract Administrator at Loral, and also worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Stanford Telecom.  Kris earned both her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Commerce degrees from Santa Clara University.  Kris resides with her husband and two sons in the Portland, Oregon area.

Kris Blair is an Operations and Compliance Analyst at CHANGE Global Investment. Kris is responsible for administrative, operational and compliance support. Kris has over a decade of management and analytical experience in the retail industry, including work for Nike, and brings strong organizational skills to the team. She is an active leader and volunteer in the local community, having served on various boards of directors for youth organizations including Little League baseball and the Parent Teacher Association. Kris earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economic Geography from the University of Washington. She resides with her husband and two sons in the Portland, Oregon area.
